What a mess

These photos were sent to us and are just one part of two massive messes made by contractors working on fences and rubbish at the back of Moorna Drive properties near Roberts Rd Bridge backing on to Steel Creek. Why has council allowed it to happen? Twice.

Some locals were getting ready to prune their green belt back fence trees on a steep block. They asked Moonee Valley Council if they would allow a gate to be opened at either Parer Road or Clydesdale Rd/Lock st for a garden maintenance ute to come in and take trees and cuttings to the tip. "No" was the answer because it encourages people to take advantage of it and dump stuff. So the "people" knock down the fence at the Roberts Rd kids playground car park and dump stuff anyway? What a lot of ubbish.

And what is Council doing about fixing up the mess that, I presume, their contractors made when installing two new cricket nets at A. J. Davis reserve months ago? Sure the laughable signs said that is was going to be a Frog Bog!! No frogs just an incredible bog for our dogs, and us, to run through. These contractors laid down heavy boards for trucks to drive over to avoid damage. The only problem is the contractors weren't bright enough to drive on them! Thus the mess.

Oh, great garden mowing coordination, too. Big mowers cutting the oval/green belt twice but only one visit from the little mower. It would be good to do them at the same time.

And, finally, Boeing Reserve has had the drinking water taps turned on for quite some time. As have the taps in the little Lock Street reserve but not at A. J. Davis Reserve or half way to the playground!!  A Council spokesperson said it was for Covid 19 health reasons the taps were off. Boeing has been on for over a month so that is another dumb answer.

Come on Moonee Valley Council this isn't brain surgery to fix any of this. Will the election results give us a more pro-active team?
