A Better Place for Native Wildlife workshop, Woodleigh School, Langwarrin South, Saturday 16 May, 10am-12pm - Local ecologist Malcolm Legg will reveal ways to manage your property to create a safe and comfortable environment for native animals at this free workshop. BERG Mt Martha is a friends group that works to preserve and restore the Balcombe Estuary and Reserves. Why not join us at our working bee on Sunday 17 May? A delicious home baked morning tea is provided.
WHERE: Meet at the end of Seppelt Ave (Melway 145 B12). We will be working on the west side of Hopetoun Creek, just above/south of Ferrero Ovals.
If you need a lift, wait at Old Campground carpark, end of Mirang Ave to be picked up at 9.00 am.
WHEN: Anytime between 9.00am and 12.00pm. Come for the whole morning or for an hour or so.
ACTIVITIES: This Sunday we shall be mulching and planting on open areas just above the Ferrero Ovals to establish a more functional habitat corridor between Hopetoun and Balcombe Creeks.
